Our first passive house was constructed in Newbridge Co Kildare. Completed in the spring of 2008, the house incorporates all the latest technologies.
The shell was built in ICF (insulated concrete formwork) blocks, and uses MVHR (mechanical ventilation heat recovery), tripled glazing, solar panels and a wind turbine not only to reduce the buildings energy consumption by 90%, but can also export excess energy back to the national grid. read more
