There are many more types of projects that will be considered for a loan, including renewables. Each project will be assessed on its potential to deliver real energy savings, and we will also need to carry out a credit check. If you are unsure about whether your project will qualify give us a call 0845 519 2065. |
What is a Carbon Survey?
If you don't have a specific upgrade in mind, we can arrange for a free carbon survey of your site to assess the potential for energy savings.
Each survey is conducted by an independent accredited consultant and produces a practical action plan tailored to your organisation's needs.
Our surveys have helped businesses identify potential cost savings of £170m and over 1.3mt of carbon dioxide emissions since 2005. Once you have requested a survey, an accredited independent consultant will visit your organisation and work with you to:
*Review your energy usage
*Identify energy-saving opportunities
*Define practical ‘next steps’
*Assist with practical implementation support
Some recommendations will involve no capital outlay whatsoever. Where capital expenditure is necessary, our consultant will work with you to calculate the payback period.
Eligiable Companies
How can I check if the equipment I want to install qualifies for a loan?
Because the Loans scheme deals with energy-saving projects rather than equipment, the answer depends on the specific circumstances of your energy usage and processes. To qualify for a loan, the projected cost of energy used after completion of the proposed project must show a significant reduction when compared to your existing energy bill.
Are renewable projects included?
Yes, depending on the specific project. Qualifying for an Energy-Efficiency Loan depends upon the amount of energy you will save on site following completion of the proposed project. Therefore if your energy saving project features renewable technology and meets the on-site cost and energy saving criteria, it will qualify.
