Solar Thermal Panels

GENERSYS 1000-10 is a world leading flat-plate solar thermal panels without collection pipes.
Intended for applications in systems equipped with circulating pumps, this Solar Thermal panel can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

The Genersys solar thermal panel is certified with Solar Keymark, as defined by EN 12975 - parts 1+2 together with UK MCS approval and therefore automatically qualifies for RHI Renewable Heat Incentive, soon to be announced.

Generates up to 70% of your hot water for free, with 2 panels
20 year warranty - panels installed by an approved installer are guaranteed for 10 years and guaranteed against corrosion for a further ten years.
Payback in as little as 8 years
35+ year life expentancy, save on energy bills year after year
With the continuous rise of utility bills, free solar energy will save you even more in the future

In summer, the solar thermal panels will virtually generate all your hot water, while in winter when daylight is short, you will benefit from an amazing 25% of free solar heated hot water.
1 panel (2m²) has an average output of 1200 kw/h per annum at constant 50°C.

As a general rule of thumb -
1 x solar panel provides enough energy to heat a 100 litre hot water cylinder.
So for example, if your hot water cylinder is 300 litres, an installer would typically recommend you to have 3 x solar panels to provide enough energy for hot water heating.

*Very efficient in low light, on cloudy days
*No overheating
*No maintenance required, as there are no serviceable parts
*No planning permission required
*Various applications - domestic heating/hot water, swimming pool heating, commercial or industrial

Key Features

Installation
*on roof installation
*integrated into roof
*fixed to external walls or balconies
*installed by qualified professionals

Glass
*Low-reflection solar glass cover is thermically pre-stressed and hardened for hailstone resistance
*Light-transmission of more than 93%
*Glass does not require cleaning
*Surrounding glass frame with integral groove to seal the panel to the roof join

Absorber Plate
*Made of corrosion-resistant aluminium
*Thin layer plated-coating wraps around the pipes to ensure low loss of light-heat conversion, with quick transfer of heat-to-heat transfer pipe

Piping
*Integrated roof piping allows erection of panels to accommodate Tichelman piping system (a two-string system, where each radiator on the same floor has the same total distribution pipe length)
*Corrosion-proof & pressure-proof copper piping for fluids
*Meandering heat transfer pipes are folded into the absorber plate, ensures maximum heat transfer
*Glycol anti-freeze fluid in pipework will ensure maximum efficiency in temperatures as low as -30°C for the first 10 years ( -11°C thereafter)

Casing
*Stamped from non-corrosive AL-Mg sheet, without joins
*Compression/vacuum-proof design means longest lifespan of any collector worldwide.
*Sea-water resistant
*Surrounding sealing ring made of superior heat-resistant & age-resistant material

Connections
*Patented connection clamp is pressure sealed link up to the adjacent panel
*System piping has no soldering or welding, that can degrade with time

Cylinders available
*Unvented : 210 or 300 litre twin coil
*Vented : 210 litre twin coil
*Combi kits : 90 or 180 litre single coil cylinder & valve

Commercial or Industrial applications
*Up to 10 panels can be installed in a series (or row) with multiple series

WHAT SERVICING DOES THE SYSTEM NEED?

Very little. Inside keep an eye on the pressure gauge on the pumping station. It should be around 3 to 5 bar. Fluctuations in the course of use are quite normal but if the gauge shows no pressure please contact your installer.

*Every month you should check visually, that nothing has gone wrong outside.
*Every 3 years the integrity of the glycol can be checked and tested.

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO PREVENT HEAT BRIDGES ACROSS THE ALUMINIUM FRAME?

What protection have your solar panels got against heat bridges across the aluminium frame, drawing internal heat outwards?

Genersys solar panels have been designed to take a huge amount of heat. Our panels feature high quality insulation which assures that the heat stays inside the solar panel.

The heat conductivity between the contact point of the panel on site and the aluminum frame is very low and will not affect the frame or other part of the roof.

I would also highlight the selective coating Genersys have developed and use in our solar panels. Our solar panels are coated using our own aluminium oxide formula, creating microscopic ridges that increase maximum surface area to light. This is designed to produce only useful heat rather than produce all types of heat.

All measures have been taken to ensure that Genersys solar panels are not only durable, perform well but are also safe and efficient at trapping and maximising total heat conversion from sunlight.

The General Permitted Development Order 2008 is an amendment concerning the need for planning permission when it comes to the installation of microgeneration technology on residential homes, making it easier for interested parties to install such technologies, and play a part in reducing C02 emissions.
