What we do

The passive house design concept has become a European wide accepted solution to reduce energy demand, in the built environment.

Housing developers, especially those working in the social sector, are actively pursuing the passive house standards as a result of the standard being referenced in the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH). The code is the UK national standard for sustainable design and construction, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and creating sustainable homes with a target that all new homes must achieve a zero-carbon rating by 2015.

The code takes a stepped approach, allowing specifiers and developers time to adjust to the new standards and technologies available to deliver low-energy or passive houses.
